Prepare for more of same

Did you know it costs in the neighborhood of about $304,000 a day to run Spokane Valley? Where is the money coming from? You guessed it. You.

Why do we have to pay more tax on our telephones for our streets. I thought the gas tax they raise was to take care of that little problem. In 2004 the city of Spokane Valley budget was $33 million. It has more than tripled in five years to a budget of $111 million. That’s just a sample of what’s going to happen further down the line if we continue to be run by people that really could care less about you or me.

When people come around with a petition to sign, don’t ignore this as it is for you and your family. We don’t need to be taxed and then taxed some more.
