The Spokesman-Review
Spokane sheriff’s deputies were responding to a 3-vehicle crash as Sprague Avenue and McDonald Road in Spokane Valley just before 8 a.m. One of the people involved may have been hurt, according to a dispatcher. Spokane police are reporting an accident at First Avenue and Cook Street this morning and a disabled vehicle at the busy intersection of North Monroe Street and Wellesley Avenue, which were hampering traffic shortly before 8 a.m. This afternoon, one lane on Stevens Street and one lane on Main Avenue are going to be closed starting at 3 p.m. in preparation for an opening ceremony of a new COPS station at the 1889 Building, 120 N. Stevens. A new Greater Spokane COPS is going into the second floor there, and the event is expected to draw a crowd. The grand opening will run from 4 to 8 p.m.
