Early a.m. crash sends driver to hospital
A Coeur d’Alene woman was injured early this morning in a one-car rollover accident on Interstate 90 at Post Falls.
Deborah K. Butler, 56, was eastbound on the interstate about 4 a.m. near the Pleasantview Road exit when she lost control of her 1989 Toyota pickup, according to the Idaho State Police.
Her truck entered the median and rolled, coming to a rest on its wheels in the westbound lane. Police said Butler was not wearing a seatbelt, but she was not ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to Kootenai Medical Center, where she is listed in good condition, a hospital spokeswoman said. The accident blocked the westbound travel lanes for about two hours, ISP said.
Police said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, and that the investigation continues.
