Cramer captures first bout

SALT LAKE CITY – Shad Cramer of Spokane, representing the Howard Street Boxing Club, defeated Landon Johnson of Cincinnati on Tuesday in a first-round bout at the Golden Gloves national championships.

Cramer, boxing in the 178-pound light heavyweight division, will face Jeffrey Spencer of Fort Carson, Colo., today.
