A perfect season for Colfax

Colfax came into the final week of the regular season with a game plan to hold down Jake Eichner of Lind-Ritzville. The Bulldogs (9-0, 4-0) succeeded in that task, holding Eichner to 94 yards rushing and 65 passing to help give them a 56-27 Northeast 2B victory against the visiting Broncos (4-4, 3-2).

Colfax scored 20 straight points on defensive and special-teams touchdowns to earn the win and finish the regular season unbeaten and as league champions. Colfax tallied more than 500 yards of offense, Alvin Lee recorded 201 rushing yards and Damon Buck scored one rushing touchdown to go with his 95-yard kick return.

Springdale def. Liberty, forfeit: The Lancers (1-8, 0-4) could not field enough players and were forced to forfeit to the Chargers (2-6, 1-4).

Southeast 2B

Pomeroy 34, Tekoa-Oakesdale/Rosalia 26: The visiting Pirates (5-4, 3-3) beat the Nighthawks (3-6, 2-4). No other details were available.

Northeast 1B

Cusick 40, Columbia 22: Josiah Rhoades ran for three TDs, caught a fourth, and also returned a kickoff for a score as the Panthers (10-0, 9-0) concluded their regular season with a win to remain undefeated and earned the Northeast 1B title in Hunters. The Lions (8-2, 7-2) were led by Eli Bear’s 166 yards rushing and one TD.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 46, Sprague-Harrington 0: The visiting Warriors (9-1, 8-1) scored two defensive touchdowns on a fumble return by Brock Streeter and an interception from Kody Dillon and rolled to a win over the Falcons (2-8, 1-8) in a game that lasted only one half.

Wellpinit def. Inchelium, forfeit: The Hornets (2-8, 2-7) could not field enough players and were forced to forfeit to the Redskins (5-5, 4-5).

Odessa 92, Pateros 50: Jared King rushed for five touchdowns and the visiting Tigers (6-4, 5-4) outscored the Billygoats (4-6, 3-6) in a game that featured a combined 142 points on 12 offensive TDs, one interception returned for a score and a kickoff returned for a TD.

Southeast 1B

St. John-Endicott 58, Sunnyside Christian 14: Kyle Raynor hit four different receivers for five TDs and the Eagles (4-6, 2-4) cruised against the visiting Knights (1-7, 0-5) to close their season.

GSL/CBBN crossovers

University 20, Moses Lake 17: Aaron Gleason kicked the winning field goal for the Titans in the second overtime to beat the Chiefs at U-Hi. Tony Tabish threw for 153 yards and hit Aaron Blaska in the end zone with two minutes left in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

West Valley-Yakima 20, North Central 17: The Rams edged the Indians in Yakima, scoring 13 straight points in the second quarter on a pass from Gilbert Plath to Jake Smith and a 12-yard run by Weston Green. The Indians took the lead back briefly in the third on a 55-yard run by Jon Stratton, but Green’s second TD run put the Rams up for good in the fourth.

Gonzaga Prep 31, Eastmont 7: After trailing 7-6 at halftime, the Bullpups scored 25 unanswered points in the second half, including 19 points in the third quarter at East Wenatchee.

Pasco 28, Shadle Park 18: The Bombers beat the Highlanders in Pasco. No other details were available.

District 6/7 1A crossover

Brewster 15, Newport 12: Tied after three quarters, the Bears scored nine straight to fend off the Grizzlies in Brewster. Corey Squires rushed for 180 yards and scored twice on the ground for the Bears, including the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth. Travis Larion threw for 124 yards and a touchdown, connecting with Chaize Exlamp five times for 99 yards.

Non-league

Selkirk 42, Curlew 26: Zach Jensen rushed for three touchdowns and Kellen Sax rushed for 138 yards and two scores to lead the Rangers (7-3) over the Cougars (0-10) in Curlew. Dakota Drennan led the Cougars with 194 yards and two TDs on the ground.

Wilbur-Creston 36, Valley Christian 22: The Wildcats (7-3, 6-3) scored 22 unanswered points in the first half and Logan Jannot carried the ball eight times for 134 yards and two TDs in the win over the visiting Panthers (0-8).

Colton 28, Garfield-Palouse 8: Sam Robertson led a relentless running attack with 285 yards and three TDs and the Wildcats (8-1) finished with 451 yards of total offense in a win over the Vikings (3-3) in Palouse.

Great Northern

The No. 3 seed out of the GNL will be decided Monday between Cheney, Colville and Deer Park, who all sit tied with 4-3 league records. The teams will participate in a Kansas tiebreaker to determine the third seed and will start at 6 p.m. at Riverside High School.
