In brief: Steinway hosting family concert

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Steinway Piano Gallery will host a special family concert presented by Allegro Baroque and Beyond at 3 p.m. Saturday at Steinway Piano Gallery, 13418 E. Nora Ave.

Featured guests include Steven Mortier, Hannah Chapman-Dutton and Allegro’s artistic director, oboist David Dutton. Piano solo and accompaniments will be played by Yi-chen Chen on the special limited edition Henry Z. Steinway grand piano.

Young pianist to perform

SPOKANE VALLEY – Val Wold, an 11-year-old pianist, will perform for the public for the upcoming holiday season.

He will be at Spokane Valley Mall on Nov. 28 and Dec. 5, from 1 to 3 p.m., and NorthTown Mall on Nov. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Donate food, run in Turkey Trot

MANITO – The annual Bloomsday Road Runners Club Turkey Trot will be on Thanksgiving at Manito Park. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at the picnic area across from the Manito Park Duck Pond.

There is not a fee to run in the Turkey Trot. Runners are asked to bring a food or money donation for Second Harvest Food Bank.
