Spokane Valley Meals on Wheels – Volunteers are needed to deliver hot meals to elderly and disabled people in Spokane Valley. Volunteers will also need to check on the well-being of each person on their route. Volunteers may choose to drive a route any day, Monday through Friday, or drive as a substitute on flexible days. Meals will be picked up at 11 a.m. and delivered to approximately 15 people and delivery time is approximately 90 minutes. Spokane Valley Partners – Volunteers for an administrative assistant to the program director to maintain the volunteer database; six-month commitment, up to 10 hours per week; assist in the recruitment and hourly tracking of volunteers involved in seasonal programs, food bank and clothing bank. Friend to Friend – Community volunteers are needed to visit one-on-one with residents in Spokane area long-term care and assisted-living facilities. Each adult volunteer visits one resident, a couple of times a month at their convenience for a one-year commitment under the general supervision of the Activity Director of the individual facility.
