“The Nutcracker” – For this year’s Ballet Memphis production with the Spokane Symphony, Sept. 25, 5-7:30 p.m., Ballet Arts Academy, 109 W. Pacific Ave. Open to dancers ages 8 and older with at least three years of experience. Dancers should arrive 45 minutes prior to auditions to complete all paperwork. Sweet Adelines Coeur d’Alene Chorus - The local chapter of the international organization is seeking singers to enjoy free vocal lessons with an opportunity to perform in the local Christmas concert, “Caroling of the Belles,” on Dec. 7. Autumn Fiction Workshop – With Stefanie Freele. Violence Awareness Month Art Contest – For Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Lutheran Community Services is organizing an art contest focusing on the impact of domestic violence on children and teens.
