In brief: Pancake feed, auction Saturday

CHENEY – The Cheney Baseball Association will hold its 17th-annual pancake feed and auction on Saturday from 6 to 11 a.m.

Auction items include a Coeur d’Alene Resort package, Spokane Indians and Spokane Chiefs tickets, a Triple Play package, and more.

The CBA raises money to help pay for tournaments, equipment, and other fees, along with scholarships available to athletes in need.

Spokane Art Party will be Saturday

RIVERSIDE – The fourth-annual Great Spokane Art Party will be Saturday at the Community Building, 35 W. Main Ave., from 7 to 10 p.m.

Fifteen area artists will help participants try their hand at clay, watercolor, silk screen, papermaking, jewelry, collage, and more. The party will include wine and hors d’oeuvres.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Blue Prints for Learning, a nonprofit organization that runs the Child Care Training Institute and the Community Building Children’s Center.

Tickets are $50 per person or $80 for two, and may be purchased at the Community Building Children’s Center, by calling Blue Prints for Learning at (509) 777-0822, or at the door.
