Hillyard Festival & Hi-Jinks Parade - This year’s theme is “Pulling Together.” Opens today at noon; play performed by St. Patrick’s Catholic School junior high students on the main stage, 3 p.m.; Ricks Brothers, classic rock and country, 7 p.m. Saturday, breakfast 7-10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Regal at Wellesley, $4.50; parade 10 a.m. from Broad Avenue and Market Street heading north to Harmon Park, followed by a car show traveling south from the park to Queen Avenue and Market; also bingo, kids’ games, Roving Gamblers MC motorcycle show ’n’ shine, stage entertainment all day including Nighthawk at 7 p.m. and fireworks at dusk.
