New faces

Genia Seghetti has been hired by Bozzi Media as marketing and events director. She previously owned TOC The Office Connection in Spokane.

Windermere North Spokane LLC has hired Kitty McMillan as a sales associate for the company’s Spokane office. She previously worked for Abbot Diabetes Care in Seattle for 17 years.

Dr. Jeffrey Colburn has joined Spokane Eye Clinic as a pediatric ophthalmologist. He graduated from Walla Walla University and earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute and fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology at the University of Indiana.

Architects West in Coeur d’Alene has hired Matt Knoll as client development director. He holds bachelor’s degrees in business management and communications from Whitworth University and has seven years of related experience.

Hank Seipp has been hired as an agent/multi-family specialist for Cornerstone Property Advisors, LLC’s commercial real estate team. He has more than 23 years of multi-family property management experience and previously worked as an agent for Prudential Real Estate in Spokane.

Mirabeau Park Hotel and Convention Center has hired Dan Zimmerer as director of sales and marketing. He previously worked as general manager of the Red Lion Hotel in Olympia and held other positions within the Red Lion Hotels Corporation since 1991.

New position

Structural engineer Jacob Gokey has transferred to DCI Engineers’ Spokane branch. Gokey has been with the company’s Bellevue team since 2004.

The University of Phoenix has promoted Corey DeLeonard from an enrollment advisor to enrollment manager, and Cat Parker from senior finance counselor to financial services manager for the university’s Spokane campus.

Kudos

Attorney Philip Nino has been admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a graduate of both Gonzaga and Georgetown Universities and has practiced law in Spokane for more than 20 years.

Of Counsel Jody Hamilton has been named in the 2011 publication of Best Lawyers in America in the practice of banking law. Hamilton works for K&L Gates LLP. Spokane U.S. Bank employees Robert Hawley and David Orr received U.S. Bank’s Annual Pinnacle Award. Hawley is vice president for the company’s private client group and Orr is vice president for the commercial real estate department.

Inland Empire Paper Co. in Millwood received a Centennial Corporation Certificate from Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed. The paper manufacturer is owned by Cowles Co.

Elected

The following individuals have been elected to the Inland Empire Youth Soccer Association’s board of directors: president, Jim Wilson of Northern Capital Management Inc.; vice president, Rick Purcell, Realtor; secretary, Steve McCormick of Inland Northwest Blood Center; treasurer, Mike Keenan of Meridian Construction; Cary Chester of DEX One; Joe Holland of Hollister Stier; Shawn Meese of Premera Blue Cross; and Ray Starkey, student and community volunteer.

Appointed

James Gerson has been appointed president of the swimwear division for The Warnaco Group Inc. Gerson will oversee all aspects of the Speedo and Calvin Klein Swimwear businesses based out of the company’s headquarters in Los Angeles. Gerson grew up in Spokane and is a graduate of the University of Idaho.

Mobius Science Center appointed Christopher Cable as chief executive officer. He previously served as director of the Imaginarium Discovery Center at the Anchorage Museum in Anchorage, Alaska, for 15 years and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Idaho State University.

Sean Murphy has been appointed as assistant professor for the Department of Health Policy and Administration at Washington State University-Spokane. He is a graduate of WSU and previously worked at West Texas A&M University.
