Council elected for inaction

I read Richard Munson’s “sour grapes” in the Valley Voice Jan. 23.

Probably nothing this council does will make him happy. I think the reason this council was elected was not so much for the things they would do, but for the things they wouldn’t do.

Maybe they won’t build a grandiose City Hall we don’t need, or want, or can afford. Maybe they won’t turn the long awaited one-way couplet into a two-way street. Maybe they won’t go back in time and make Sprague a two-way street again. Maybe they will try to live within their means like the rest of us do and not raise taxes.

Those are some of my hopes for our new council.
