Boys State B: Cusick 54, Lake Quinault 32

YAKIMA — Louie Bluff scored a game-high 18 points as Cusick rolled past Lake Quinault 54-32 on Wednesday in the first round of the Class 1B boys state tournament. The Panthers (20-6) jumped out to an 8-0 lead, with four points from Bluff, and never trailed. Tyler Edwards and Spencer Shanholtzer each added 13 points for Cusick. Edwards pulled in a game-high 15 rebounds as the Panthers dominated the backboards, 53-33. Shanholtzer and Jacob Prine each had seven. Cameron Pumphrey and Josiah Rhoades led Lake Quinault (15-9) with seven points each. Pumphrey added 10 rebounds.
