Volunteer opportunities offered

Catholic Charities Spokane, 12 E. Fifth Ave., will present a volunteer information session Wednesday from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteer opportunities are available at Bernadette Place, Catholic Campaign for Human Development, Catholic Relief Services, Childbirth and Parenting Alone Program, the Christmas Bureau, counseling, the House of Charity, the Parish School Ministry, Refugee and Immigration Services, the regional office, Respect Life, St. Anne’s Children and Family Center, St. Margaret’s Shelter, Senior and Family Housing and senior services.

The session will include lunch and tours of Catholic Charities new facility.

Quartet to perform at St. John’s

The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, 127 E. 12th Ave., will present Windsong, a quartet of four local musicians, Sunday at 4 p.m.

Soprano Andrea Dawson, baritone Max Mendez, Larry Jess on trumpet and pianist Carolyn Jess will perform music from Broadway musicals, opera, Italian favorites and sacred music.

The concert is part of the Cathedral’s Second Sunday Concert series and admission is free.
