New fitness facilities open in Hayden, Coeur d’Alene

Good for achieving a New Year’s resolution, fitness is the major topic today.

Describing Precision Fitness as specializing in one-on-one, high-intensity-resistance- training programs, owner Scott Stockwell this past week expanded his business from Coeur d’Alene to Hayden. The new facility is in a 2,688-square-foot space at 8252 N. Wayne Drive.

“Our goal is to teach and show what proper exercise can do,” said Stockwell, who has had the Coeur d’Alene facility for about five years. “We believe people have been misinformed about resistance training and the results that can be achieved by it. Eighty percent of our focus is primarily on nutrition consultations, and our clients find themselves working out less with better results.”

Originally from Post Falls, Stockwell played basketball at North Idaho College and Carroll College, where he graduated in sports management. He has up to 10 certified personal trainers. Hours are 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. With the opening, new customers get two weeks free. Phone (208) 772-5500.

Ultimate Fitness in Sunset Village

Also opening this past week, Ultimate Fitness owners Jason Koester, Chad Schmidt and Rich Palmer offer extensive fitness experience as certified personal trainers. Their gym is in Suite 1 at 296 W. Sunset Ave. (east of Highway 95).

“We offer a great gym atmosphere where anyone from any level can have a great workout,” said Koester, a Coeur d’Alene native. “We offer meal plans and nutritional guidance. Tanning and aerobic classes will be added in February.”

A college graduate in kinesiology and business administration, Koester has worked with fitness for more than 20 years. Also a CdA native, Schmidt earned Idaho’s Strongest Man titles in 2008 and 2009. Also a body builder, Palmer worked for Gold’s Gym in Seattle. Lisa Paquin has added her Body Shop Personal Training and Fitness from Government Way to the mix.

Hours are 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends. Corporate rates are available. Phone (208) 930-4479.

Dynamic Marine builds docks

Docks and marine accessories made from fiberglass materials are the primary products of Dynamic Marine at 22515 W. Highway 53 (just east of the McGuire Road intersection) near Rathdrum.

The industrial side of the former company, Dynamic Fabricators, was purchased by Amtec Corp. and moved to Wapato, Wash. Twelve of the company’s 50 employees moved with the industrial division, which primarily builds cooling towers for energy plants.

Now called Dynamic Marine, the company here builds a variety of docks and accessories such as ramps, handrails, bumpers and ladders. Boat repair and storage also are offered. Check www.ultradock.com.

Now with seven employees and plans to expand, Dynamic Marine has two manufacturing buildings on 10 acres. A 7,500-square-foot building and storage acreage are available for lease. Contact Danajo Everett Cole at (208) 773-1787.
