Stags bounce back
One day after falling from the ranks of the unbeaten in Great Northern League play, the Deer Park Stags (7-3, 3-1) did the same to the Pullman Greyhounds (5-5, 3-1) with a 52-49 victory at Deer Park on Saturday.
The Stags outscored the Greyhounds 23-13 in the fourth quarter behind seven of Colton Peone’s 19 points and eight from Zach Mohr.
Clarkston 61, West Valley: Dustin McConnell scored 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and the Bantams kept their hold of the top spot in the Great Northern League standings with a win over the Eagles at WV.
The Bantams (7-2, 4-0) were in danger of losing their first league game to the Eagles (5-5, 1-2) trailing by 11 after three quarters, but outscored the Eagles 24-4 in the fourth for the win.
Colville 51, Medical Lake 33: Zach Hull had 16 points, Miguel Anaya added 11 points and seven boards and the Indians (2-8, 1-3) shut down the Cardinals (1-9, 0-3) in the second and third quarters to take a 17-point lead by the start of the fourth in Colville.

Wellpinit 78, Cusick 66: Going head to head for the first time, the Redskins (12-2, 9-0) – led by Cody Flett’s 29 points and 23 from Kennedy Seyler – held off a late surge by the Panthers (12-3, 8-1).
Spencer Shanholtzer hit three 3-pointers in the fourth quarter and scored 25 points for the Panthers.
Columbia 55, Northport 48: Dominic Marquez led three players in double figures with 15 points and the Lions (2-12, 2-8) outscored the Mustangs (4-9, 2-8) 16-2 in the first quarter, forcing 15 turnovers that was the difference in Northport.
Republic 51, Selkirk 36: Tyler Haswell scored seven of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and added 15 rebounds as the Tigers (9-4, 5-4) used a 20-11 edge in the final frame to put away the Rangers (10-6, 7-4) in Republic.
St. George’s 74, Springdale 26: Five players scored in double figures for the Dragons (11-4, 7-2), led by 14 points and eight steals from Gerhard Muelheims, against the Chargers (8-8, 4-6) at St. George’s.
Inchelium 84, Curlew 35: Tony Louie completed his sixth triple-double of the season, tallying 18 points, 13 boards and 10 assists for the Hornets (9-4, 6-3) against the Cougars (0-12, 0-9) in Inchelium.

Colfax 58, Valley Christian 17: Brandon Gfeller scored 12 points, Alex Teade added 10 and the Bulldogs (7-5, 4-3) held the Panthers (1-12, 0-6) to six first half points, forcing 25 turnovers before the break and 37 overall for the road win.
Lind-Ritzville 66, Reardan 58: Jake Eichner hit four 3-pointers with 14 points, James Stevenson had 26 points and the host Broncos (10-3, 5-2) built a 16-point halftime lead over the Indians (7-7, 3-4) with eight first-half 3s.
Davenport 78, Liberty 60: Josh Zeiler led the Gorillas (11-2, 5-2) with 19 points as four players scored in double figures, hitting 9-17 3-pointers as a team against the host Lancers (5-10, 1-6).
Bi-County 1B
Odessa 53, Sprague-Harrington 38: Nick Campbell scored 16 and the visiting Tigers (7-8, 1-2) took over in the second quarter, hitting four 3-pointers to build a nine-point halftime lead over the Falcons (1-11, 0-3).
District 9 1B
Colton 61, Tri-Cities Prep 38: Josh Straughan had 18 points, Dustin Patchin added 11 and the Wildcats (4-8, 2-4) surprised the visiting Jaguars (4-2 league), outscoring them 40-21 in the first three quarters.
Nonleague
Lakeland 53, Lakeside (WA) 39: Leading the Eagles (7-8) by four with 5 minutes remaining, the Hawks (7-6) sealed the win with four consecutive free throws by Caleb Guerber and two by Joel Underdahl for the last of his 15 points in Rathrdrum.
Liberty Christian 65, Garfield-Palouse 57: The Patriots jumped out early with a 33-20 first half, and the Vikings (7-3) fell short of their comeback, despite 19 points and eight boards from J.B. Lange in Palouse.
Northwest Christian 77, Wilbur-Creston 26: Kwinn Hanson scored 22 points and the visiting Crusaders (12-2) dominated the paint, outrebounding the Wildcats (10-4) 32-13, while shooting 33 for 55 for the game.
Dayton 50, Tekoa-Oakesdale 44 (OT): Brandon Hovde notched 19 points with 11 rebounds for the Nighthawks (2-9) and hit a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to send the game to overtime, but the visiting Bulldogs outscored Tekoa-Oakesdale 7-1 in the extra period.
Intermountain
Kellogg 60, St. Maries 54: Cody Lewis scored 20 points and the Wildcats (10-4, 3-0) held off a late run by the Lumberjacks (5-3, 2-1) to earn the win and take over first place of the IML in St. Maries.
Priest River 65, Timberlake 38: Eric Holbrook tallied 19 of his 25 points in the first half, giving the Spartans (8-3, 2-0) a 32-14 halftime lead that would hold against the Tigers (6-7, 2-3) in Priest River.
North Star
Lakeside 60, Mullan 43: After a slow first half, scoring just 18 points, the Knights (6-6, 2-1) found their stride in the second, scoring 42 points after the break in Plummer.
Lamont Higgins did most of the scoring for the Knights with 21 points, while the Tigers (4-6, 1-3) were led by 27 points from Casey McKinnon.
Kootenai 60, Clark Fork 34: Jacob Zarpentine tallied 16 points and 20 rebounds for a double-double and the Warriors (6-8, 3-1) defeated the Wampus Cats (0-12, 0-3) in Clark Fork.
