Interviewed PGA golfer Tiger Woods has been interviewed by federal authorities investigating a Canadian doctor accused of distributing human growth hormone, a person familiar with the investigation told the Associated Press on Wednesday. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the investigation of Dr. Anthony Galea is ongoing. Woods acknowledged that he’s been treated by the Toronto-based doctor but insisted that he did not receive any performance- enhancing drugs.

Resigns Men’s soccer coach Javier Aguirre has quit as Mexico’s coach, three days after the national team was knocked out of the World Cup in the round of 16. It marked the fifth straight time that Mexico has been eliminated in the second round of the World Cup.

Pleaded Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker pleaded not guilty to criminal bad check charges alleging he failed to repay almost $1 million in gambling debts and penalties to three Las Vegas casinos. His trial was set for Nov. 22.

Died Former Detroit Red Wings defenseman Willie Huber, who played in the NHL in the 1970s and 1980s, has died of an apparent heart attack at his home in Hamilton, Ontario. He was 52.
