Bandits win opener
SELAH, Wash. – The Spokane Bandits scored eight unanswered runs and overcame a five-run deficit en route to an 8-6 victory over Lakeside Recovery in the opener of the State AAA American Legion baseball tournament on Wednesday.
The Bandits play Kelso today in the double-elimination tournament.
Josh Martin and Garrick Little, both from Lewis and Clark High School, each collected three hits to lead the Bandits’ comeback.
Spokane trailed 5-0 before scoring four times in the fifth. They took the lead for good with a two-run seventh.
