Reward offered in theft of firearms
More than 20 firearms were stolen from a Nine Mile Falls home this weekend.
The guns – two rifles and at least 20 pistols – were stolen during a burglary in the 24000 block of North Westlake Drive.
The homeowner left about 10 a.m. Saturday and returned about 4:30 p.m. Monday to find the home ransacked.
The thief appeared to have entered through a sliding glass door, police said.
Stolen were two half-gallon bottles of Everclear alcohol, an Apple iPad, an Acer laptop computer, a 65-inch Sony flat screen LCD television, a Denon Blu-ray player, a B&K surround-sound receiver, an Xbox 360 game console and 15-plus games, a Sony PlayStation 3 game console and 10-plus games, a Nintendo Wii game console and 20-plus games, an Apple iMac computer, one Canon video camera and one Canon digital still camera. The thief also stole a Panasonic digital camera, a man’s gold Rolex wristwatch, 10 Canadian gold $50 coins, six Garmin GPS radios and other items of jewelry.
The homeowner can’t identify the make, model caliber or serial number of the stolen firearms.
Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for a tip that catches the burglar or burglars “and hopefully gets this high number of firearms off the streets,” according to a news release.
