Tendered Running back Jerome Harrison is one of five restricted free agents to sign one-year tenders with the Cleveland Browns. The former Washington State Cougar ran for 561 yards in Cleveland’s final three games. He gained 286 yards – the third-highest, one-game total in NFL history – in a Dec. 20 win at Kansas City.

Suspended The Tennessee Titans have suspended linebacker Gerald McRath without pay for the first four games of the upcoming season for violating NFL policy on performance- enhancing drugs. McRath started five games as a rookie in 2009. He was a fourth-round draft pick out of Southern Mississippi.

Signed New Orleans Saints general manager Mickey Loomis says running back Pierre Thomas has signed his restricted free agent tender, but Thomas’ agent says he still wants a better deal Lamont Smith says Thomas wants a more lucrative and longer-term deal that gives him financial security while he’s still in his prime.

Resigned Indiana State basketball coach Kevin McKenna has resigned to take an assistant coaching job at Oregon. Last season, Indiana State was 17-15 overall.. McKenna will join Dana Altman, the new Oregon coach who left Creighton earlier this year. McKenna was an assistant to Altman at Creighton for nine years before joining Indiana State.

Repay Former NBA All-Star Antoine Walker is due before a judge for failing to repay some $900,000 in gambling debts and penalties to three Las Vegas casinos. The felony criminal charges in Nevada could get Walker probation or up to 12 years in prison.

Dislocated Leading scorer and rebounder Candace Parker dislocated her left shoulder and is day-to-day for the Los Angeles Sparks. Parker was injured in the first half of Sunday’s win against Minnesota.

Decided Romania soccer forward Adrian Mutu must pay Chelsea more than $20.7 million in compensation after losing his final appeal in a legal case over a positive cocaine test. Chelsea terminated his international contract after he failed a drug test in 2004.
