Power restored in Deer Park area

Electrical power has been restored Deer Park area this afternoon. Avista Utilities reported that the outage that started at 2:09 p.m. initially affected nearly 1,900 customers. An hour later, power was restored to the majority of the customers with more than 400 still without power and by 3:30 p.m., only a couple dozen customers were still without power. Hugh Imhof, Avista spokesman, said the outage occurred along a feeder line, and crews searched along the line and found a tree that had fallen onto the line.
