BLS – Healthcare Provider Renewal – CPR – Course covers one- and two-rescuer for adult CPR, child CPR (over age 1), infant CPR, bag-mask ventilations, AED and choking. Participants must have a current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or one that has been expired for less than two months presented at class. Participants must pass a written test and perform a CPR skills test for certification. Certification is valid for two years. July 13, noon-3 p.m., at St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute, 711 S. CPR – Friends and Family – Pediatric – Covers child CPR, infant CPR, and choking. Designed for new parents and family members as well as community members that want to know CPR but do not need a certification card. Cost is $25. Natural Childbirth – For those planning on a non-medicated birth. Two-hour class is taken after Prepared Childbirth or Prepared Childbirth-Extended and covers additional labor positions, comfort measures and breathing techniques to use during labor.
