Ducks have problems

The Spokesman-Review

It appears the University of Oregon is heading for the big time in college football.

It seems every week or so one of its players is arrested or dismissed from the team or having some other problem with the university or the law.

I guess the coach has decided that it is necessary to recruit some thugs to improve his football team.

I do not think it is the atmosphere or drinking water on campus causing the problems, but the administration ignoring the recruiting practices that are causing this increasing embarrassing situation.

Perhaps the administration needs to step in and get control of the recruiting practices that are bringing criminals on campus. If not, perhaps Oregon can join the University of Tennessee and start an all-felon league.

Instead of bragging about the graduation rate of their players, they can brag about the release rate. One downside is that the Oregon players will lose some speed because of having to wear the ankle devices to monitor their location for law enforcement.
