Agreed Arizona slugger Mark Reynolds says he’s agreed to terms on a new contract with the Diamondbacks. Two people familiar with the talks said the deal was worth $14.5 million over three years and includes an $11 million club option for 2013.

Fired Iowa has fired men’s basketball coach Todd Lickliter after three losing seasons in a row. Lickliter was 38-58 with the Hawkeyes, who finished the season 10-22 – their first with 20 losses. Lickliter had four years left on his contract, which pays him $1.2 million a year.

•Charlotte 49ers men’s basketball coach Bobby Lutz, the winningest coach in school history, was fired after his team failed to make postseason play for the second consecutive season. The 49ers lost seven of their last eight games and finished 19-12. Lutz went 218-158 in 12 seasons at his alma mater.

Out Dallas Stars center Mike Modano is out indefinitely after he underwent surgery to remove his appendix. Modano has appeared in 54 of the Stars’ 68 games this season, scoring 13 goals with 13 assists for 26 points.

Sued Former South Florida football coach Jim Leavitt has sued the university over his firing. Leavitt, who was fired in January over claims that he grabbed a player by the throat and struck him in the face, filed the complaint against the USF board of trustees and athletic foundation. Leavitt has denied all accusations.

Sentenced An Illinois insurance executive who secretly shot nude videos of ESPN reporter Erin Andrews was sentenced to 21/2 years in prison. Michael David Barrett, 48, of suburban Chicago, agreed to a 27-month prison sentence after pleading guilty.
