String quartet to give all-Beethoven concert

The Spokane String Quartet will present an all-Beethoven program on Sunday at the Martin Woldson Theater at The Fox.

The concert opens with one of the composer’s early works, Quartet in F Major, Op. 18, No. 1, followed by his midcareer Quartet in E-flat Major, Op. 74 (“The Harp”).

It closes with the Grosse Fugue, recognized as one of the greatest classical compositions of all time.

Sunday’s concert begins at 3 p.m. Concertgoers are invited to meet the musicians afterward in the Founders’ Gallery.
