Guess no poison can kill him

Michaels
From Wire Reports

Bret Michaels’ recovery from a brain hemorrhage is going so well that he could be back for the “Celebrity Apprentice” season finale on May 23, doctors say.

The 47-year-old former Poison frontman, a contestant on the reality show, has been in intensive care since being rushed to the hospital April 22.

That followed an emergency appendectomy 10 days earlier. He also has a lifelong history of Type 1 diabetes.

Michaels’ will to live is “undeniable,” said Dr. Joseph Zabramski, chief of cerebrovascular surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, adding that he’s expected to make a full recovery.

A press conference is scheduled today to further discuss Michaels’ condition, treatment and prognosis.

One day at a time, indeed

Drug charges against Mackenzie Phillips have been dismissed after she successfully completed a diversion program.

Phillips, 50, who was featured on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew,” has a history of drug abuse, which led to her firing from the TV series “One Day at a Time” in 1982.
