A case of Penned-up rage

Penn
From Wire Reports

Sean Penn pleaded no contest to vandalism Wednesday, effectively ending a case in which the Oscar-winning actor was videotaped kicking a celebrity photographer.

Penn was sentenced to three years of informal probation and ordered to perform 300 hours of community service, which can be completed through his earthquake-relief efforts in Haiti.

He was also ordered to undergo anger management counseling and stay 100 yards away from the photographer, who also has filed a civil lawsuit.

Penn, 49, was charged in February with misdemeanor battery and vandalism for the October dustup and faced up to 18 months in jail if convicted.

He had several run-ins with photographers and the law in the 1980s but had stayed out of trouble since.

Just making waves?

A lawyer for a “Jersey Shore” cast member says an encounter between his client and another woman at a South Florida nightclub was a “non-incident.”

James Leonard Jr., who represents Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, said he spoke with his client Tuesday after the other woman accused the MTV reality show star of punching her twice in the head Saturday night.

A prosecutor’s office spokesman said authorities would review the allegations to see if charges are appropriate.

Not-so-twisted father

Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider, his wife and their four kids have signed up for a new A&E reality show, “Growing Up Twisted,” to air later this year.

Snider says his family is “like The Huxtables meets The Munsters – and I’m Dr. Huxtable. I’m the normal one.”
