New Faces

The Hampton Inn Spokane has hired Jessica Kirk as sales manager. She previously worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters and has extensive sales experience.

Luke Manley has been hired as a research assistant for Next IT. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California San Diego in cognitive science with an emphasis in human-computer interaction and previously interned at San Diego Gas and Electric in the company’s IT department.

Magner Sanborn has hired Nick Bryant as an account executive. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Augustana College. The firm has also hired Steve Kutsch as senior art director. He has 26 years of experience as an art and creative director.

Odyssey Youth Center has hired Carla Savalli as executive director. She previously worked at The Spokesman-Review as senior editor for local news.

Brittany Burks has been hired by Next IT as an application analyst. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Azusa Pacific University and a master’s degree in life coaching from Western Seminary. She previously worked as a student ministries director. Dr. Vivian Moise has joined St. Luke’s Rehabilitation Institute as medical adviser and director of the spinal cord injury program. She is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in spinal cord injury medicine. She previously owned and practiced at Rehabilitation Medicine Spokane and served as chief resident at the University of California Davis Medical Center, where she also completed her physical medicine and rehabilitation residency.

Promotions

NAC Architecture has promoted Janet Baumgartner and KaLee Paul-Quanz to associates. Shar Widner has been promoted to assistant vice president of Inland Northwest Bank. She previously served as branch operations officer for the bank’s Northpointe branch. The company also promoted Jennifer Nelson from human resources manager to vice president.

Washington Secretary of State Sam Reed presented Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories with a National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion Award in recognition of the Pullman-based engineering corporation’s community contributions.

Spokane Realtor Karene Garlich-Loman has received short sale and foreclosure resource certification from the National Association of Realtors.

The American Library Association-Allied Professional Association has presented Georgette Rogers with library support staff certification. Rogers is a circulation supervisor at Liberty Lake Municipal Library and is president of the Washington Association of Library Employees.

Banner Bank awarded its Banner’s Best award to Bill Endress, Cindy Baracco, Cajer Neely, Julie Orenstein and Ron Soss; its Production Club award to Tara Chandler, Tasha Feagan, Alena Kardash, Jessica Blakeman, T.J. Wetzler and Robert Herbst; and its Real Estate Leaders Club award to Kelly Bolding. All recipients work in the Spokane area.

Sales associate Douglas Fitzthum has achieved Master Sales Level status at Airstream of Spokane. He has been with the company since 2005.

Jacklin Seed by Simplot is celebrating its 75th year in business. The company was started in 1936 by Arden Jacklin and his family in Spokane Valley and was acquired by the Boise-based Simplot Company in 1997.
