Dispatches Interrupted: Links we Like

Dispatches from a Disaster creates a huge lift for readers to grasp the larger ramifications of the Gulf Oil Disaster. We will include more sources, but for now these five. Remember, on the day the Deepwater Horizon exploded April 21. 2010, experts of many strips said that a million gallons of oil a day would be leaking from that type of well under those geologic conditions. Scoffed at, really, those geophysicists and oil industry experts not in bed with Exxon, Chevron or BP, by the media and others. Please be aware that the Dispatches from a Disaster is about this one event in our Gulf. Shell, Chevron and Exxon have terrible environmental records and human rights abuse records in other countries. We must add those angles to this DTE series too, so keep checking this page on Dispatches as we continue the story of Marc’s journey back and his creative journey making a film and showing it and distributing it. We focus in on the people and the real narrative of the Gulf Oil disaster, but we know the larger implications of this on our world, our policies, on Spokane and Washington State’s oil dependency.
