Klitschko scores KO

Vitali Klitschko knocked out Albert Sosnowski in the 10th round in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, to retain his version of the heavyweight title. Klitschko (40-2, 38 KOs) dominated the fight from the start Saturday night, using superior size and his jab to keep some distance. Klitschko landed a couple of hard right hands to the body early, and one more hard right hand in the 10th sent Sosnowski (45-3-1) to the canvas. Referee Jay Nady waved an end to the fight at the 2:20 mark. Klitschko, whose brother Wladimir holds two versions of the title, has been unstoppable since coming off a four-year layoff because of injuries. He’s won all five of his bouts, only once going beyond the 10th round.
