“Connections” Bereavement Support For Families – Special support group led by Hospice of Spokane counselors for families with children in grades one to 12 who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Designed to help children and the adults who love them find a safe environment for the expression of feelings, recognize that they are not alone in their grief, understand that grief is a normal expression of loss, and learn about parenting a grieving child. National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) – Sponsors free education, support and outreach programs that help make life less difficult for individuals and families, including caregivers of children, affected by mental illness. All teachers, facilitators and speakers are trained volunteers with personal experience either as relatives of or as individuals living with mental illnesses.
