Your week
YOUR HOME
Wish you had an extra hand or two when it comes to raking leaves?
A new product called Rake ’n’ Sweep promises to simplify the process. It’s basically a reusable 40-gallon bag attached to a 2-foot-wide dustpan, held open by plastic rods like a pup tent, allowing you to rake or sweep with both hands.
Order online at www.rakensweep.com. (Actually, it could come in handy clearing the Thanksgiving table, too.)

YOUR HEALTH
It may not be the most polite time to raise the issue, but if you’ve been wondering whether you’re really overweight, here are a few tips from the experts:
• Figure out your body mass index (BMI), a measurement that considers both height and weight; to make it easy, type “BMI calculator” into an online search engine.
• Measure your waistline, where dangerous abdominal fat gathers; men should measure no more than 40 inches, while women should be 35 inches or less.
• Then divide your waist measurement by your hip measurement. Ideally, a woman’s result should be 0.8 inches or less and a man’s 0.95 inches or less.

YOUR FOOD
Since both you and your tastebuds could use a bit of a breather before tackling the big Turkey Day menu, keep things simple (and warming) this week with a homey, maple-glazed meatloaf. For the recipe, see Page C5.
