Wizards cut Adam Morrison
Thu., Oct. 21, 2010
The NBA’s Washington Wizards on Thursday released former Gonzaga University standout Adam Morrison and 10-year veteran Sean Marks.
Morrison’s agent, Aaron Mintz, confirmed the release to The Washington Post in a text message. Morrison, whom the Charlotte Bobcats chose as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft, won two championships with the Los Angeles Lakers the past two seasons but has not seen significant action since his rookie year in Charlotte.
In four preseason games, Morrison averaged five points. Coach Flip Saunders said he “did some good things.” But it wasn’t enough to secure a spot.
