NYSE rejects bid
NEW YORK – The parent company of the New York Stock Exchange has rejected an unsolicited bid for the second time. The board of NYSE Euronext Inc. rejected an $11.3 billion bid from Nasdaq OMX Group Inc. and IntercontinentalExchange Inc. that would carve the company into two. Company officials reaffirmed NYSE’s commitment to its previously agreed-to $10 billion merger with German exchange operator Deutsche Boerse, despite the lower price for shareholders.
