Stabbed Authorities in Miami said the wife of Brandon Marshall stabbed the Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver with a kitchen knife, and his publicist said the Miami Dolphins receiver was released from a hospital and would fully recover. Michi Nogami-Marshall, 26, was arrested Friday evening and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Nogami-Marshall told officers she was defending herself. Marshall had earlier told officers he slipped and fell onto a broken glass vase, but the officers noted that evidence at the couple’s home didn’t substantiate that claim. Nogami- Marshall was released from jail Saturday on $7,500 bail. It was unclear if she had an attorney.

Repaired Seattle Sounders FC winger Steve Zakuani had surgery to repair a fractured right tibia and fibula. Zakuani was injured in the third minute of Friday night’s game against the Colorado Rapids and was taken from the field on a stretcher. Colorado midfielder Brian Mullan received a red card for the foul in Seattle’s 1-0 win.

Suspended The NBA suspended Atlanta’s Zaza Pachulia and Orlando’s Jason Richardson for today’s Game 4 of an increasingly testy Eastern Conference playoff series after their altercation in the closing minutes of the third game. Pachulia will sit out for head-butting Richardson and fighting. The Magic player was suspended for shoving Pachulia in the face and fighting. Both also will forfeit one game’s pay.

Died The sister of LSU head football coach Les Miles has died in a car accident near Baton Rouge. Ann Hope Browne, 54, was attempting to merge onto Louisiana Highway 1 on Friday when her car was struck in the driver’s side by a pickup truck. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Fighting No stranger to fighting, Donald Brashear is looking to mixed martial arts. A spokeswoman for promoter Ringside MMA says the former NHL enforcer has a deal to try cage-fighting. Brashear, 39, still has to pass a medical exam and get a license to fight from Quebec authorities. The plan is for Brashear to fight on the Ringside 11 card June 4 at the Quebec Coliseum. He played in the NHL for the Canadiens, Canucks, Flyers, Capitals and Rangers.
