Cougars welcome Broncos
Coming off a last-second win over Idaho, the Washington State Cougars will try to extend their winning streak to four games this afternoon when they host Santa Clara (5-2) at Beasley Coliseum.
The 1 p.m. game is part of a doubleheader with the women’s team, which hosts UC Riverside at 3:30.
WSU raised its record to 5-4 when Reggie Moore buried a 20-foot last-second jumper to defeat the Vandals, 66-64 on Wednesday in Moscow. The Cougars expect to still be missing key contributors Abe Lodwick (foot) and Mike Ladd (thumb) today, but could possibly get leading scorer Faisal Aden (concussion) back.
The Broncos are led by guards Kevin Foster, who torched WSU for 29 points in the Cougars’ 85-79 overtime win in Santa Clara last year, and Evan Roquemore. The pair combines for 33.5 ppg.
