Manson man dies from stabbing at party

MANSON, Wash. – A 28-year-old Manson man died after being stabbed late Friday night at a cabin party.

Chelan County Sheriff Brian Burnett told KPQ-AM several friends were drinking in a cabin when a 17-year-old became aggressive and was told to leave.

He went to his own cabin and returned with a pocket knife. The sheriff said the victim, identified as Amilcar Lopez Ramirez, tried to stop the 17-year-old from attacking the third person in the cabin and was stabbed twice in the chest.

The attacker was booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Center, and charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault and first-degree burglary.
