Catholic Charities hits goal

Catholic Charities Spokane announced on Monday that it has reached its 2010 Christmas Collection goal of $750,000.

Late last year, Catholic Charities was concerned it would not make its goal, but a second mailing proved successful, according to a statement released by the agency.

Catholic Charities Christmas Collection funds are used solely to operate the agency and its social service programs during the year.

“This collection is our major fundraising effort for the year and these funds remain vitally important to the success of our most valuable mission,” Catholic Charities director Rob McCann said.
