Poetry Scribes of Spokane - Wholesome poetry for ages 18 and older. Bring a favorite poem to read. Wednesday, 1 p.m., North Spokane County Library, 44 E. Hawthorne Road. (509) 796-2180

Spokane Novelists Group - Strong critiquing of fiction, novels and short stories (no poetry, nonfiction, memoirs, etc.). Bring five to 10 pages to read to the group and six to eight copies. Saturday, noon, Argonne Library, 4332 N. Argonne Road, Millwood. (509) 891-1695
