Rendezvous of woodcarvers set
SPOKANE VALLEY – The Spokane Carvers will host their ninth annual “Rendezvous” at the KOA Campground, 3025 N. Barker Road, June 10 through June 12, beginning with a potluck at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

Draft plans will be presented
SOUTHGATE – The Southgate Neighborhood Council will have an open house on Wednesday at the Educational Service District 101, 4202 S. Regal St., beginning at 7 p.m.
The event will include a presentation of neighborhood draft plans for the parks, open spaces and transportation, along with neighborhood cleanup dump pass distribution.

Mind, Body and Spirit Fair set
COMSTOCK – The Spokane Holistic Chamber of Commerce will have a Mind, Body and Spirit Fair on Monday at the Unity Church of Truth, 2900 S. Bernard St., from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The fair, themed “Breaking the Spell,” will feature keynote speaker and New York Times best-selling author Eldon Taylor and will include seven educational presentations and 40 vendors.
The event is free and open to the public.

Accordian group to perform
RIVERSIDE – The Spokane Accordion Ensemble will perform “Another Night at the Movies” on Monday at the Bing Crosby Theater, 901 W. Sprague Ave., at 7 p.m.
The performance will include arrangements from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Star Wars,” Fiddler on the Roof” and “My Fair Lady.”
Cost is a suggested donation of $10 per person at the door.

Homebuying classes planned
EMERSON/GARFIELD – Community Frameworks, 315 W. Mission Ave., will continue its series of classes designed to help potential homebuyers better understand credit, personal finances and mortgage lending on Tuesday and next Thursday, with “Understanding Credit” at 6 p.m.
The classes will provide information on homeownership opportunities and help working families learn to plan and save. The second class in the series, “Managing Your Finances” will be on June 14, June 16 and June 23. The last class in Community Framework’s monthly series, “Mortgage Basics,” will be held on June 28 and June 30.
Community Frameworks will host a “Self-Help Homeownership Informational Meeting” on June 20, beginning at 6 p.m.
The classes are free and open to the public, but registration is required.
