Finally, a weekend forecast worth Tweeting

Inland Northwest residents will be relieved to see the nicest weekend weather since last September. Temperatures will reach the mid-70s Saturday and 80 on Sunday and Monday, the National Weather Service says. Today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 66 in Spokane. Tonight’s low will be around 44. Saturday will be sunny with a high near 76 in Spokane and 74 in Coeur d’Alene. The low Saturday night is expected to be around 48. Sunday will be mostly sunny with a high near 80 in Spokane, a couple of degrees lower in Coeur d’Alene. Sunday night’s low will be about 54. Monday will bring a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11a.m., the weather service says. Still, the forecast is for partly sunny weather and a high near 80. Monday night’s low will be around 52.
