Reunited Two-time defending Olympic beach volleyball champions Kerri Walsh and Misty May- Treanor will reunite for a try at a third gold medal at the 2012 games in London. The two Americans played together in Athens and Beijing. Walsh took time off for two pregnancies, and May-Treanor injured her Achilles tendon in 2008 while rehearsing for “Dancing with the Stars.”

Signed The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Luca Sbisa to a four-year contract extension worth $8.7 million, rewarding the young Swiss Olympian for his promising play this season. Sbisa has two goals and six assists in 52 games for the Ducks.

Resigned Montana State men’s basketball coach Brad Huse has announced the resignation of assistant Brian Priebe after three seasons with the team. Huse says Priebe is taking a position in the private sector in Bozeman. Priebe was an assistant at Eastern Washington from 1995-2000.

Recovering NFL Films President Steve Sabol is recovering from a seizure in Kansas City, Mo., where he was to accept an award on behalf of his company. The 68-year-old Sabol was stricken Saturday night and taken to a hospital. He underwent tests over the weekend and was alert Monday, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said.

Charged A South Florida sports agent has been charged with stealing more than $305,000 from Anaheim Angels first baseman Kendry Morales. Coral Springs police report that 31-year-old Rodney Fernandez turned himself in on a grand theft charge.

Released Southern California defensive end Armond Armstead has been released from a hospital after spending five days in care for an undisclosed ailment. USC coach Lane Kiffin says the senior will return to class, but won’t be back in conditioning drills with the Trojans until more medical tests are completed.

Died A former Duke quarterback who won 24 games during his three seasons playing for the Blue Devils in the 1930s has died. Elmore Hackney died Saturday in San Dimas, Calif., at the age of 95.
