A double standard

Way to go, Cougs. Where do I sign up for Double Standard 101?

I guess if you get caught with drugs during the regular season you are held accountable (see Klay Thompson suspended for UCLA game). But if you are in a postseason tournament you can play (see DeAngelo Casto plays, WSU wins). What message are we sending our youth?

I think (director of athletics Bill) Moos owes Thompson an apology. And after that, he should call Thompson’s parents and apologize to them.

Business as usual in the major conferences. I am a UCLA fan, but I didn’t mind when Gonzaga’s women defeated UCLA, because I know we played against a university that has ethics and played an up-and-up game. I doubt that any Gonzaga athlete who got caught with drugs would still be on the team.

Wouldn’t John Wooden be proud how the game is played now?
