“For the Girls” Feminine Hygiene Drive – Throughout the month of May, Project Beauty Share is aiming to collect feminine hygiene products and funding for women of all ages who are working through local nonprofit agencies and charitable organizations to get their lives on track. EWCDHH Fun Day – Event is free to all children and youth with hearing loss and features water activities, outdoor sports, games and competitions, booths with information for all parents of children with hearing loss, free lunch, and a special appearance from the Fire Department and the Emergency Response Team. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness Day at Silverwood – June 18, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Cost is $30 for adults and $17 youth/seniors in advance, or $35 for adults and $19 youth/seniors at the gate. Meal tickets for the all-you-can-eat buffet are $11 for adults and $5 for youth/seniors and are good for one meal per person one time only. Camp Fun in The Sun – July 24-30. A camp for children living with diabetes. Nationally recognized by the American Camping Association. Campers have a chance to spend time with other children who also have diabetes while having fun learning to live with diabetes and balance their daily activities. Scholarships are available.
