The Spokane South Little League Junior All-Stars won District 13 to earn a berth at the Washington State Juniors tournament in Arlington, Wash., July 16-24. Spokane South defeated Mt. Vernon, 13-12; Vancouver, 12-9; and Hazel Dell, 6-2. It lost twice to Upper Valley to take second place in the tournament. Spokane South is the first team in the history of District 13 Little League to reach the championship game at age levels 9-10, 10-12, 11-12 or Juniors.
