Hot weather to wane toward week’s end

The weekend’s hot weather will extend through today, but cooler temperatures are expected by this weekend, according to the National Weather Service. The weather service is forecasting a high of 91 today in Spokane, with an overnight low of about 57. Temperatures will drop steadily throughout the week, with a high near 77 expected by Thursday. By Sunday, the high is expected to reach 70, the weather service said.
