Bebe stores may be among the destinations for young women in search of classy club wear and trendy office attire, but the California-based retailer also is among the several big-name retailers get into the wedding business, with its recently released bridal collection designed by former “Project Runway” designer Rami Kashou. The Bebe collection features a dozen bridal looks, ranging from long to short, and feathery to all-out lacey. Dresses range from around $300 for a short, one-shoulder, ruffle-skirt taffeta dress up to $2,500 for a three-quarter-length-sleeve lace dress that reads like an ode to Duchess Catherine Middleton’s royal wedding gown. The collection also features bridesmaids dresses that range in price from slightly over $100 and topping off under $300. Kashou, a finalist on the fourth season of “Project Runway” who also appeared on “Project Runway: All Stars,” includes a floor-length satin dress and a less formal spring-friendly bright rose colored short dress. Beyond dresses, the collection features the requisite bridal essentials - jewelry, shoes, lingerie - and classic Bebe rhinestoned shirts and velour tracksuits, updated with wedding-worthy titles like “Bride” and “Bridesmaid.” The full Bebe bridal collection is available online at bebe.com/bridal, with sample bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses available to try on by appointment at select stores.
