In brief: Dance group’s salmon dinner set for Aug. 26

SPOKANE VALLEY – The Western Dance Association will host its 56th annual Salmon Barbecue from noon to 4 p.m. on Aug. 26 at the Western Dance Center in Sullivan Park, 1901 N. Sullivan Road.

Cost is $10 for adults, $9 for seniors, age 65 and older and $6 for children younger than 12.

Good Sam golf tournament Aug. 24

POST FALLS – The Good Samaritan Society will hold its 16th annual Good Sam Scramble golf tournament at the Highlands Golf Course on Aug. 24. Registration will start at 11:30 a.m. and the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.

Cost is $85 per person or $340 per team and includes golf fees, cart rental and dinner.

Proceeds will help build an outdoor rehabilitation courtyard at the Good Samaritan Society.

Reserve space for EVHS craft fair

SPOKANE VALLEY – Band students at East Valley High School are preparing for the Christmas season now. The students are organizing a craft fair fundraiser and have spaces available for vendors. The fair will be Dec. 1-2.

Space rental is $55 per vendor for the weekend plus a $20 refundable deposit. Organizers have requested no commercial vendors.
