Stephen Edward Wright of Las Vegas, Nevada died Tuesday, August 21, 2012.


He was born March 24, 1943 in Spokane, Washing- ton.

He graduated from Shadle Park High School in 1961.

He fought a long-term battle with Lewy Body Disease.

Stephen spent the last 17 years at his home in Las Vegas.

He was a Senior Technical Engineer with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) for 23 years, having spent time in Athens, Greece (1972-1975) and in New Delhi, India (1975-1978).

Temporary Duty Assignments took him to remote regions of China, Oman, Lebanon, Egypt, Turkey, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Peru, Chile and Australia.

One of his favorite trips was to Aswan, Egypt on an Air Force C-130 in 1974 filled with tele- communications equipment to support talks between Anwar Sadat, Henry Kissinger and the Prime Minister of Israel.
Steve was 69 years old at the time of his passing.

He is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, to whom he was married 46 years; son Christopher Wright of Leesburg, VA; daughter Andrea Wilkinson of Ashburn, VA; grandchildren Hannah Wilkinson, Alexa Wright and Noah Wright.

He also leaves a brother Douglas Wright of Puyallup, Washington.


Visitation will be from 8:00am-12:00pm, and Service at 1:00pm on August 29 at Short’s Funeral Chapel, 1225 East Sixth St., Moscow, Idaho.

Burial is to follow at Burnt Ridge Cemetery, Troy, Idaho.
