Local musicians unite to help Village Experience

From Staff Reports

A group of Spokane musicians is teaming up tonight to help a youth organization recover from a recent robbery.

The Village Experience provides music lessons, instruments and recording time to Spokane youths in need. In late July, someone broke into the Village Cafe and Concert House, 171 S. Washington St., which is being renovated into a new home for the Village Experience. Nearly $5,000 in instruments, recording equipment and other items went missing.

Tonight at Ugly Bettie’s, 211 N. Division St., local bands will perform on two stages, beginning at 8 p.m. Admission is $5 and all proceeds will go toward the Village Experience.

The performers include the Flying Spiders, Jesi B. and the All Rites, Bandit Train, Octoninjitsu, Team Growl, Sales Wagon and Spokane’s top DJs.
